Gillian’s journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by her own experience with a beloved dog who passed away from renal disease at a young age. The compassionate care her dog received motivated her to provide the same support to others during challenging times. Over the years, Gillian has gained experience in general practice, emergency/trauma care, orthopedic surgeries, and now urgent care, appreciating the unique challenges and connections each brings.
Known for her empathy, Gillian is always ready to lend a listening ear or provide comfort to clients navigating stressful situations. She finds the most fulfillment in emergency care, where she can make a meaningful difference during critical moments and build lasting relationships with pets and their families.
At home, Gillian shares her life with two German Shepherds: Melvin, a wise and well-mannered senior who is nearly 7 years old, and Ada, her lively and adventurous 5-year-old.
Gillian’s approach to patient care focuses on building trust, letting pets come to her when they feel ready, and often using treats to help them feel at ease. Her goal at Lifeline Animal Urgent Care is to improve outcomes for pets, reduce stress for their owners, and foster strong community connections.
Outside of work, Gillian is a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast who loves diving into all things technology and computers. She also enjoys challenging herself to learn and grow, always striving to turn mistakes into valuable lessons.
