Shay has always known she wanted to work with animals. Initially dreaming of becoming a veterinarian, she discovered her true passion for being a veterinary technician during a high school internship. Shay finds immense fulfillment in comforting and treating pets during their most vulnerable moments, considering it an honor to be part of their care journey.

As a Fear-Free certified technician, Shay brings a unique skill to the team: her ability to read body language and adapt her approach to ensure pets feel safe and respected. She’s dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient, treating them with compassion and care while minimizing stress.

Shay and her husband share their home with two cats, Pickles and Storm, and three dogs, Roo, Korra, and Nyx. Each pet has a special place in their hearts, from Pickles’ big personality to Storm’s sweet, kitten-like demeanor, Roo’s small-dog charm, Korra’s high-energy spirit, and Nyx’s journey of building confidence.

Passionate about patient care, Shay loves seeing pets recover and return home feeling better after treatment. She is committed to ongoing learning, embracing opportunities to grow through hands-on experiences and continuing education.
